As the Vice Provost & Associate Vice-President, International, you will lead the continued growth and execution of strategic initiatives designed to meet the University’s international objectives. Reporting to the Provost & Vice-President (Academic), you will lead an exceptional team overseeing key activities that include international relations and institutional partnerships, international student recruitment, and international student services. As a member of the Provost’s senior executive team, you will champion Western’s strategic plan and its efforts to be Canada’s destination of choice for the world’s brightest minds seeking the best learning experience at a leading Canadian research university. As the ideal candidate, you are an established and respected leader with a demonstrated record of successfully leading an international strategy at a university, or have extensive experience gained in another role that involves significant parallels to this position. You are a strategic thinker with the ability to identify, define and deliver on short-term and long-term goals. You have exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong record of building relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, other academic institutions, governments, private sector organizations, potential donors, and community and international organizations. You will bring your creative ideas, collaborative leadership style and evidence-based approach to develop a new Western International strategic plan. You are a skilled communicator who encourages, inspires and mentors individuals and teams to achieve their full potential. You have strong sense of personal and professional ethics and practise integrity in all that you do.
