Established in 1985, Canstar Restorations is a leading full-service property restoration company serving residential, commercial and institutional clients. Headquartered in Coquitlam BC, the company provides a complete range of building and contents restoration services, including fire, water, storm and contents damage restoration as well as hazardous material disposal services. In 2016, Fulcrum Capital Partners, a leading private equity firm, took a majority investment into Canstar and over the past 4 years, the company has pursued an aggressive growth strategy moving into new markets as it aims to become a regional and eventually, a national, restoration company. With committed and well capitalized owners, an experienced management team and a strong reputation in the market, Canstar is well positioned to grow.
To deliver on this growth strategy, Canstar is now seeking a Vice President (VP), Sales to lead growth into new industry verticals and new markets. Reporting to the CEO and as a key member of a small executive team, the VP will take on a mandate to build relationships and market share in new segments such as strata/property management, real estate, institutional and corporate clients with significant real estate assets. This is both a strategic and a hands-on mandate where the VP, Sales will have a chance to directly influence and impact the strategy of the business, build a team and lead by example in driving sales.
The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial business development and B2B sales leader who has a track record of success growing market share and customer acquisition in new markets and industry verticals. Relevant experience may include a solid understanding of the restoration, construction or project management environment; selling a ‘service’ where differentiation is based on reputation, quality and customer service; experience selling to similar target verticals such as property/strata management, real estate companies, institutions (government, schools, healthcare, etc.), and businesses with significant real estate assets (retailers, hospitality, banks, etc.). The VP will be a respected and collaborative leader capable of building collaborative relationships across the business and helping foster a positive culture in an entrepreneurial, family-oriented environment.
