Great Canadian has doubled its business in the last 18 months, acquiring several new properties in Ontario. With the exponential evolution and transformation of the organization, Great Canadian continues to recognize the importance of the internal audit function. As a result, the organization is now seeking a new internal audit senior leader with a mandate to further develop, reshape and transform internal audit. 

Reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Vice President, Internal Audit is responsible for coordinating and directing the Company’s internal audit function in an efficient and effective manner. Additionally, the Vice President, Internal Audit ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and provides a positive, professional and learning environment for all team members.

As the ideal candidate you bring a passion for internal audit and leadership experience in a regulated or publicly traded company with scale and complexity that parallels Great Canadian. You are able to conceptualize from a strategic viewpoint and translate through practical, sound deliverables. You bring superior interpersonal skills, a solid business acumen and an ability to demonstrate the importance of internal audit to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
