Position Description

Chief Financial Officer

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer plays a key strategic role as an integral member of the senior management team and will be a true business partner helping the team to achieve market leadership. More specifically, the Chief Financial Officer will shape business strategies that align with growth and profitability drivers in partnership with the senior management team, driving accountability across the organization through rigour, financial discipline and transparency. As well, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for all activities related to operations and supply chain.

The successful candidate is capable of being a strategic business partner to the Chief Executive Officer and the executive team. He or she understands business value enhancement and risk management and provides excellent guidance, counsel, analysis and recommendations on a broad range of business, financial, strategic and operational issues. Skilled and confident, he or she asks the tough or strategic questions in a team-oriented and respectful manner. Respected for his/her business savvy, sound judgment, innate wisdom and ability to challenge thinking and perspectives.

It is expected that the Chief Financial Officer will identify opportunities, roadblocks and analyze its impact on future business. He or she has a track record of implementing quality standard operating procedures and structures.
