A rare opportunity exists in the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for this dynamic organization. Leading a diverse portfolio, this executive will be joining at a time of growth and change for the organization. With an exciting strategic and capital plan in place, strong and productive ties to industry, and numerous opportunities to introduce improved related processes and systems across the organization, the CFO has an opportunity to add significant value on many different levels.
Reporting directly to the President and working closely with the executive and academic teams, the Board of Governors, unions, government and external partners, this individual will bring innovation to the ways in which capital is mobilized, and the generation and use of funds, always with a view to supporting BCIT’s long-term plans around continued support of best in class teaching and learning.
The new CFO has a proven track record as a highly strategic thinker and engaged leader within an organization of comparable size and complexity to that of BCIT and where they have introduced or responded to change in a way that brings people along. With outstanding communication and leadership skills, this individual may bring senior level experience from the private or public sector. Regardless of where this next leader comes from, this individual will be passionate about serving at an award-winning polytechnic institute with an important and highly relevant mandate.
