Mitacs represents a network of 70 universities, operating 25 offices across Canada, supported by a $140m budget from governments, industry, and university partners. Mitacs is a national organization with regional offices in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.
The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a keen understanding of the innovation ecosphere. The new CEO will bring successful senior leadership experience gained in a university or in a related organization focused on research and innovation, coupled with strong academic credibility and qualifications. The new CEO will bring a passion for research and innovation, a track record working with industry and government, and the leadership capacity and vision to lead a large, complex, and entrepreneurial national organization.
