Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President, Academic and Students, the Associate Vice-President, Students, (AVPS) provides strategic leadership, planning, administration, and evaluation of the student and registrarial services portfolio, including programs, staff, policies, procedures, facilities and budget in accordance with the College’s strategic and academic goals. The Associate Vice-President, Students, plays a key role in promoting and supporting student success and engagement. They will lead the Student Services team, which includes Accessibility Services, Athletics & Intramurals, Counselling Services, Health Services, Registrar and Enrolment Services, Student Conduct and Academic Integrity, Student Engagement, and administrative support.

The successful candidate will bring ten years of related working experience including at least seven years employment with increasing responsibilities in post-secondary education or another relevant sector, or equivalent combination of education and experience. They will have considerable knowledge of and experience in planning, implementing, and advocating for a wide range of programs in student and registrarial services, including mental health initiatives, and have knowledge of educational occupations and occupational fields represented in the college environment. They will have budget, financial management and strategic planning experience as well as working knowledge and experience with the administration of collective agreements. They will bring experience in working with a diverse community and a commitment to equity and inclusiveness, and have a strong understanding of student recruitment, enrolment and retention models with evidence of innovative practices.
